Ship Building Contest

The Bubble Bash-5k!!!

8am Race • 7am Packet pick up • Saturday July 18
• You’d rather run 10 miles, no problem. Warning: route will avoid fun bubbles.
• Online registration for the 5k & 10 mile races.
• Performance tees offered in men's, women's and youth sizing (Register by June 30th to guarantee your size)
• Awards given to the top 3 males and top 3 female finishers in each age category after the race.

Line up at 8am in the Detroit Lakes City Park, for a beautiful warm weather run. The 10 mile course will take runners out of the park, down West Lake Drive and around Pristine Detroit Lake. Mile markers and water stations will be available along each course. The 5k route is yet to be determined.

Chili & Salsa Cook-off

The Chili & Salsa Cook-off is an annual favorite. Located in the Pavilion beer garden Contestants prepare their chili on their own outdoor grills. All food must be prepared on site. The cooking begins at 9:00 AM, with judging at 11:30 AM. Chili goes on sale to the public at 11:30 noon. Teams are encouraged to compete for the fantastic cash prizes for Best Chili, Best Salsa, Best Booth Display, Gastro-Blaster, and Rick’s Choice Award. You need to be a part of this delicious event!!!
